The addition to Duke’s Perkins library consisted of work in the rare books room, paneling and display cases at the newly added Mary Biddle Trent library, and various other updates throughout the library.

This was the first of two 33 story buildings Bank of America was building in Charlotte. They would be the location of their corporate headquarters. We were responsible for the core and shell millwork install package which consisted of paneling around the entire first two floors of the lobby, paneling in 16 elevators, and restroom vanities and mirrors on floors 2 to 33.

After a successful renovation of their house chambers, the senate was ready to give their own chambers a facelift. We were responsible for installing all wall paneling, radius crown, the rostrum wall, door casing, and senate chamber diewalls.

Dominion Energy’s new 21 story headquarters consisted of millwork panels throughout the lobby, 2nd and 3rd floor, tongue and groove bench seating, executive area millwork, and paneling and casework throughout the remaining 19 floors.

The owners of the building had a vision to have one of the marquee offices in downtown Charlotte and the slat panel millwork was going to be the central design. Our scope of work was with two separate millwork companies and consisted of the lobby radius stair and slat panels, slat panels at the 2nd-floor stairs, large forum millwork, and a few other locations.

The paneling on the new kiosks required the installation to be 100% perfectly plumb and square on all four sides or the design wouldn’t work. There was no “cheating” or splitting the difference on this elevation.

When you’re the main sponsor of a new football stadium and your logo is front and center for all of Atlanta to see, it seems the logical next step is to build a new headquarters in the same location.

We installed the millwork in NC State’s new student union, including the giant suspended wolf feature wall. The wolf design was featured in AWI’s Design Solutions as one of the top projects of the year in 2016.
